The following is a basic overview of typical phases of a project for video game development.
As no two projects are alike, a unique outline of phases and deliverables is developed to address the product schedule.

Phase Zero : Research and identify opportunities deliverables: positioning map and strategic opportunities.

Phase One : Concept generation and ideation deliverables: concept sketches, drawings, 3-D prototypes.

Phase Two : Concept refinement and detailing deliverables: refined concept renderings and 3-D model prototypes.

Phase Three : Implement and build content: 3-D models, textures and lighting for testing in game engine.

Phase Four : 3-D and 2-D refinement deliverables: Continued testing for beta game engine, debugging.

Phase Five : Finalization of content deliverables (3-D, 2-D) and commitment for gold disc.
